A men’s shirt is about 2 bucks to dry clean but since women wear “blouses” instead of “shirts” they charge them 4 bucks for the same amount of material. Or LESS!
Denton – women need bras and panty hose and varying underwear, we also need feminine hygiene products. Our clothes are far more expensive than yours and we are still only making 75 cents to every dollar you make comparatively
Men spend far more money on alcohol and treating women to dinner. Plus, we have expensive toys like fast cars and other women on the side ( or guys if you’re homo.)

G10, you want union teachers teaching personal finance? lol…
And who pays for this massive bureaucratic expansion?
Ok, well teaching personal finance to a 9th grader isn’t the same as teaching it to an economics major. I think I mean having a class that students can learn about the BASICS of banking and how important it is to save money, what to spend money on, what options are out there when they are an adult as far as investing – things like that.
Year ago, near the beginning of the PC era, I used to teach adult ed computer classes at Murry Bergtraum HS. Ya know, the day school is supposed to have a business kind of curriculum.
One afternoon I got in early and started chatting with a regular day school union teacher. Woman, white, maybe 55. I asked her what she taught and it was finance-related. I forget exactly… So I asked her if she had the kids set up model stock portfolios. She looked at me and laughed and said how could she do that, she never owned a stock in her life.
Rob – yes that’s TOTALLY convenient for me to go to a friggin health clinic to get my tampons each month

It isn’t that much of an expansion, denton. Summer school already exists and smart kids go just like the dumb kids. I finished high school in 3 years by going to summer school and taking electives like chemistry, physics, and language arts classes.
I think I’d enjoy teaching the basics of finance.
Plus woman pay TONS more for drycleaning.

who else then to teach personal finance, denton? The teachers figured out how to retire at 55 very comfortably and have even more vacation then I do.
Gem;
Good luck on convincing UFT teachers to work during the summer!
