Ishtar – agreed. I think it’s just as important to teach a 14 year old how a bank works for the common person and how to obtain a credit card and how loans work rather than the battle of (fill in the blank)
benson, I had a blast teaching for the Board of Ed adult education, look into that part. It’s teaching the way it should be.
You get paid BOE per diem, which ain’t bad, you draw up your own curriculum, you teach what you want and how you want. If your students don’t feel they are getting their money’s worth, they complain and out you go. Free market teaching, way to go.

sure G10 it sucks the first year but every year you get a raise whether or not you deserve it and whether or not the economy is good. Before you know it you’ll be making that $100,049 that is UFT scale for ten months work, then you can make another 20k during the summer.
