Also, like everything else with the governemtn, the money is not actuall there in some account labelled “Unemployment.” It’s another huge fuck up like social security and everything else the government tries to manage with its beauracracy of morons it employs.

I agree that the unemployment should be extended. However, as someone else pointed out, employess don’t pay into it, the employer does.

etson, I’ll let you know since my 99th week is next week and for all the resumes i sent out over the last 99 months, I only got 1 reply. One. Try waking up every day with that sickening feeling the roof is about to come crashing down on your head and you don’t know where the next dollar is coming from.

I don’t feel unemployment is an entitlement- I paid into it for years and years. I didn’t lose my job because of something I did, or even something my employer did. It was because of what the economy did and while the people mainly to blame for the problem are back raking in money again, those of us caught up in their problems are still trying to survive.

It’s been called a jobless recovery- not my fault. I just need to survive- and so does Gem and Cobble and Mm and anyone else who can’t find work.How do you propose we do that? With all the money this country wastes, all the perks and freebies and money we send overseas, how about us?
