  1. “Why should Ginni get an apology anyway???? From other things I’ve heard recently, she sounds like a nutjob.”

Uh-oh, dibs. Aren’t you inviting a bensonbomb for calling her a nutjob and isn’t that what you objected to with us calling Palidino? Not that I disagree with you but I’m glad you called her a nutjob first. 🙂

  2. Babs/Dona – am sorry I meant dark hair(raven), dark eyes and ivory skin
Dona – thans for the history tip – I guess the Moors were the only ones who never invaded Ireland ;/

Rob – am 35, I think I was like in 9th grade when it happened so I was paying attention to who was popular in HS, not current affairs – ha!

  3. I disagree snaps. Thomas wrote his own book defending himself and his friends have been trashing Anita Hill for years. One of them, Brock, who wrote a book about her, eventually recanted. She, on the other hand went back to work and has acted with dignity and professionalism. 4 people who worked with her back then testified that she was upset by comments Thomas had made.

Now Virginia Thomas has a pac called Liberty Central Why do you think she decided at this time to call Anita Hill and ask for an apology? Can we say opportunist?

  4. I have no problem with snappy’s comments. It’s a credibility assessment, pure and simple. Back to Ginny’s olive branch — here is the full text. My question is, do you think she’s demanding an apology for the testimony, or does she think there was an affair, or perhaps a one-sided attempt at an affair by Anita?

“Good morning Anita Hill, it’s Ginni Thomas. I just wanted to reach across the airwaves and the years and ask you to consider something. I would love you to consider an apology sometime and some full explanation of why you did what you did with my husband. So give it some thought. And certainly pray about this and hope that one day you will help us understand why you did what you did. O.K., have a good day.”

“What you did WITH my husband”?? Not sure, and maybe I’m overreading, but I detect a tone of a wife’s protection of her turf. Any thoughts on this?

Meanwhile, for arkady — “Being Irish, he had an abiding sense of tragedy, which sustained him through temporary periods of joy.”
