Yes, this is very true….me as a perfect case in point. But, not when it comes to doing something you don’t want to do so maybe you’re right…Irish just don’t want to change…and will be very stubborn about it.
Pete, and by the same token, why take her word over his? I just didn’t find her credible, plain and simple. Yes, sexual harassment was likely taken more seriously because of this, but that doesn’t mean she was being truthful. I simply don’t believe she was telling the truth.
I think at time, sexual harassment was much more tolerated than today. Almost considered okay. Things have changed greatly since then. These hearing was catalyst for the change – it brought the subject into public sphere and was very uncomfortable to be hearing about it on TV.

I’ve always wondered why people listen to US News on college rankings when they’ve been one of the worst news publications for decades.

I used to argue with Ma and Pa Snaps over it too…they believed her and I didn’t. They wondered if I had been switched at birth 🙂
I was ambivalent about Hill/Thos until Brock recanted. There was nothing in it for her except clear conscience.
