  1. rf, in my opinion, they should negotiate terms the homeowners can pay to stay in their homes, and take their lumps. I don’t think your average homeowner is looking for a free house, most are victims of the economy, and are desperate to stay in their homes. The banks can’t sell them anyway. Seems to me, it would be better to get money coming in by way of adjusted payments, with the delinquent amounts tacked on to the back end, and slap yourself for being greedy and stupid, rather than throwing people out into the street, having thousands of homes mouldering and out of circulation, unsellable. The industry has long forgotten that they are dealing with people’s lives, not just cold hard finances and balance sheets. The majority of people in foreclosure are there because of the economy, not because they set out to cheat anyone, or even because they overspent. They got laid off.

  2. “Cobble, really need to try Quercy”

Pete, BH and I have tried Quercy, but it was quite awhile ago. I had beef bourguignon, and it was very nice! Will go back! Love the quieter places. I get annoyed when I can’t hear my dinner company for all the music and background noise.
