banks should foreclose. if folks are unemployeed and out of money or unwilling to allocate the scarce savings for mortgage payment, they aint looking to a reduced payment. they likely need gov housing etc where the paymt is more like cheap rent. Let another private enterprise buy the houses in bulk from banks and do what mkt bears – ie sell if there are buyers, rent if there are renters,… for folks that down on their luck, only solution is get them jobs. not lower mortgage and mortgage paymts.

Yeah, Downtown Atlantic was really great. The portions are quite large, easily enough for two meals, and the prix fixe dinner for $23 was absolutely first rate. Bxgrl’s warm brussel sprout salad was amazing. The sprouts were sliced super thin, and were cooked enough to be al dente, with taste and texture. I only had a couple of bites, and would definitely order next time.

I had a barbequed pork chop sitting on a bed of sauteed spinach, mashed potatos and sweet corn, shaved from the cob, that came with a small side of homemade baked beans. YUM! The starter was one of the best bowls of Manhattan clam chowder I’ve ever had. Dessert was an excellent pumpkin cheesecake. All for $23!!!!!!

MM, I agree with you once on your liberal stance re: forclosures. The whole mess would clean itself up rather quickly if they negotiated some sort of stay.

The problem has been that those who got negotiations so far, 50% + went into arrrears again soon afterwords.

But yes, the mess needs to be clleaned up.
