“BHO, regular employees at banks will be killed but he rainmakers will be paid their mega $$$. so BoCoCa + BK Heights might still remain ‘floaty’ price-wise while the rest of BK gets slapped around.”
List the top banking executives/partners who live anywhere in Brooklyn. Exactly, you know brownie would be all over that one!
Rob, I guess you are posting a warning to anyone who is thinking of staying with you. Some people don’t like being hosts — I guess you are one of them.
One thing I would ask of guests though is to be sensitive to a person’s morning schedule during the week and whether or not they feel like talking at 6am. I had one person over who heard me stirring before 6 am and thought that was a signal to get up and start excitedly talking about something complicated. I can manage the basic social graces, like saying Good Morning, how did you sleep but that’s about it. I also loathe people at work who have meetings at 7 am.
park_sloper, I knew his father very well before he died a number of years ago — a delightful man, as was his paternal grandmother, one of his only non-acting relatives.
His actress / maternal grandmother, not so much.
His mother refers to herself as my “Danish Jewish Mother”, and when I’m in Denmark, I stay with her and his stepfather.
As for my friend, he is now published in 17+ countries, and had one of his novels published in the U.S. last year. And he lives in Carroll Gardens.

DH, you got that right – especially when the host is a legit “friend”. if one is that hesitant to ask for food – then that aint a friend
Other costumes I’ve worn on Halloween:
– Cowboy outfit with pieces of toast hanging all over it (Toasted Western)
– Pink bathing cap with a chair on my head (piece of gum stuck to the bottom of a chair)
– Dressed all in green holding a volleyball (Irish setter)
I doubt Obama is actually a christian. He’s probably agnostic. But he has to play along because of all the nutters in this country.
haha – i like Rob’s rules.
*rob*, can I stay at your place next weekend? It’ll be fun.
