dibs,
this is true.
New York State has failed to understand that
you cannot keep leading the nation in taxation
for 30 years running and expect those that make
smart business decisions to stick around.
2% here 5% there adds up when you are talking
about a million dollars or a billion dollars.
and slowly the businesses and individuals start packing
up. why stay when you can retire early and visit New York on occasion without having to put up with the exessive
city/state/property/sales/mortgage etc. taxes which eventually go to line the pockets of the millions of government employees who retire at age 53 with a 100K pension with benefits for life.
hell, even the government pensioners know that the first thing to do after retiring from a city or state job is to move to Florida and go fishing on the money saved from not staying in New York.
DIBS, have you been recently to morimoto’s place in Philly to have it 10 course type tasting meal? think it used to be 110 per head and before he become mega popular, patrons could occasionally see him there or even be the chef cooking the items
“LMFAO, i could never gather a group that large of people who could afford that no matter how hard i tried! how elitist and snobby. like one or two people of the six can’t just be tag alongs and drink mineral water? so lame.”
The owner of that place has other restaurants that are all no reservations. The Ma Peche tasting menu just seems to be a way to take advantage of the midtown expense account crowd while making it easy on the staff
I was going to ask a question on Park Slope Parents site.
Yes, it’s a legit question as I’m looking for an item and need store recommendations and figured Park Slope would probably have a large concentration of baby stores that might carry that item.
You have to become a member of the site AND it costs $25/year!!!!
WTF?!?!?!? Whatever!
No thanks, I’ll just walk up 7th Ave and walk into every baby overpriced store looking for the item.
DIBS, or is the truth they banned you for constant harassment of the kitchen staff – during & after their work shifts?
I haven’t been to Morimoto in Philly in a long time. there are too many other new, better retaurants since he opened.
