The Economist recently predicted that Texas would overtake California as the most economically dynamic state in the country. I agree.
Of course, many years ago NY state was the most dynamic state in the country. The term “Empire State” really meant something. Now the state is a joke, relying on an ever-narrowing economic base. It has a joke of a state government, loaded with hack politicians and socialists who know nothing about the private sector. They are financed by the civil-service unions, who are more-than-content to feed off the dying cacass of our economy. If you think I’m exaggerating, you haven’t been to upsate cities like Utica, Rome or Buffalo recently. All dying cities.
not knowing all the other options, I had Seattle as my #1 option if I ever decide to move to avoid high NYS income taxes. albeit, the constant gray skies not that appealing.
“Or a rentboy, lechacal?”
Yeah I hear there is a huge demand for bald 35 year old rentboys these days.
Or a rentboy, lechacal?
I like the “ice houses” in Houston and the Menil. Heat is oppressive though and air quality is ghastly.
Denton, you like the houston loop highway? I kind of do as I simply did the loop when I missed the exit
“If I were looking to avoid tax, I would move to NH. More thins I like than FL.”
If I were looking to avoid tax, I would become a restauranteur. 100% of those guys are complete and total tax cheats, with zero exceptions, ever.

“cannot imagine living in a place where I could stand on a coffee can and see forever.”
Cgar would need a footstool, perhaps.
There are a lot of things I like about Houston, and some I don’t, mainly the goddam heat!

Lo siento, DeLepp
