  1. texas, always loathed it but the hill country area is quite pleasant. Couldn’t live in houston or dallas though, cannot imagine living in a place where I could stand on a coffee can and see forever.

  2. delepp,

Texas is a big growth state.
A colleague of mine is a case in point.
    Born and raised New Yorker.
Got up and left two years ago.
Sold his practice, sold his house.

took the profits and bought a house
    without a mortgage.
bought a store to start a new practice
    with his brother.

doesn’t have to pay for private school
since the county schools are so good.

    taxes are low.

sent me a photo with everyone in
    cowboy hats.

  3. m4l, Co has low taxes for the most part and like texas, pensions are not gtd by taxpayers.

cgar, meetings and presentations and trying to get out of this gd dump!

  4. There are a lot of VERY low state tax states. You don’t have to go to the undesireable ones like FL and NV and NH just to get 0 tax rate. Therre are also other costs in those, like high RE taxes.

  5. legion, exactly why I’ve included austin and colorado in my job search. With the money saved I could visit ny monthly and stay at the pierre.
