  1. Cobble have you thought about figuring out a way to sell baked goods? Doesn’t have to be a full on bakery of course. There are a lot of people out there selling baked goods but it has always struck me that a lot of them do a great job of baking but not such a great job of figuring out WHEN and WHERE people actually want to eat the stuff they make (and let’s face it people usually don’t buy ahead a lot of the time, they buy because they are hungry and they aren’t willing to stop themselves from buying something). When do people really want a nice fattening bunch of yummy baked goods? Not in the morning I would guess, not during regular workday, everyone’s too diet conscious. I’m not really sure, but maybe after drinking? That’s when all the rules go out the window in my personal experience. After a couple of martinis at a bar I could see myself eyeing some of those rasberry coconut squares. Absolutely no idea if that’s the right answer but if you can solve the WHEN and the WHERE better than all of the bakers out there who never really thought to answer those questions your goods are certainly worth buying. Just my $.02.

  2. “Start baking, start selling.
    Go for it!”

I’ve thought about it, but I’m not professionally trained, I have no idea how to do such a thing, and besides this area is saturated with really good baked goods.

  3. Wow! I was wondering when the firestorm would start!

I can’t help but open my wallet again and toss out my $0.02

As I said a year ago about the What being offended by something Dave said, no one has the right to tell anyone when and by what they should/should not be offended.

That said, Benson, I think your train has jumped the track. Do you realize that if you pissed your pants wrt everything everyone of us has ever said that could be deemed offensive you’d be drowning, not to mention not speaking to any of us?

  4. As for the hearings, I think two issues got confused — the SEC charge against Goldman, and the bigger question of what happened in the markets.

    Correct, Slopefarm….

My point also was that it is in the interest of more effective legislation that the legislature become a little more knowledgeable about what they are trying to regulate.
