Legion, there’s a HUGE difference between a body scan at an airport that EVERYONE goes through, and being picked out of a bunch of people walking down the street, stopped, and asked to show papers, because someone thinke he/she “looks” illegal.

allow me to rephrase it then:
why would it ever be considered “un-american” to be singled out of a line at the airport for questioning if I just broke the law and have no papers to identify myself?

    dibs,
from what I understand, there is no provision for an army of police raiding villages,
what is provided for is the ability to ask a person for identification and if they are here legally.
does not seem un-american to me since I get asked these questions if I am stopped for speeding.

    bxgrl,
read the law, as I said before.

cobble, when you go back, lemme know. I’d like to make an appt.

  3. benson- actually I was thinking Sarah Palin and George Bush 😉

Denton- SHUT UP!!! I don’t care what it takes to convince cobble to make those cookies, I want them!! I don’t care if we have to lie to her, chain the damn woman to the oven and get her baking. (Don’t make me come after you with a rolling pin).

Once again, glad it wasn’t me who spoke the truth.
