An English environmental scientist has been studying public and private weather data in England to study flowering of native English flora. He has 2,000,000 data points and has been collating public weather records and 350 years of privately kept diaries and flowering records of naturalists in England for certain native English flora. He has determined that looking at a set of the same flora, that the time of blossoming is the earliest recorded in the 350 years of data collection.
Oh – my first *real* job was when I was 14. I caddied at the local richy rich country club. I was a big kid so I could carry 2 bags. Lots of money. Oh, and I lied about my age and started working at a restaurant as a bus boy at 15 (and later the host). That was great money. Worked there until I went to college. Minimum wage + “tip out” from the waitresses. Worked my ass off and I was really good at my job… but WAAAAAAAY too much money for a kid with a weed habit! 🙂
I was doing house choirs and other crap and the pay was food & shelter. didn’t get paid for work still I was 13 or something – ie the minimum wage look pretty big to me then. think it was 2.75/hr or something like that

I hate going to a restaurant with 6+ people and they add the tip to the bill and the service SUCKS!
Happened a few weeks ago and I wanted to tell the mananger I want some of the tip back cause I would never leave this much for the shitty waiter.
We have more than 55 units in our building, and we don’t have a live-in super either.
Though, for all intents and purposes, one of our doormen is already (perpetually?) on strike.
