  1. “I am so disgusted by what happened during the meltdown. Lost major money in MER ”

I was in the old HQ yesterday, it makes me puke when riding up the escalator and seeing the ‘corporate values’ statement staring you in the face as you get to the top.

  2. Just depends on your level of confidence in the company and its business model, of course.
Not only for your own economics, but you would be the one selling the concept to others.
    Best of luck!

  3. never used aunt and uncle and thought it peculiar when heard other kids do it. Now that I am the uncle – would not like it if refered to as Uncle. My teenage nieces and nephews also said don’t like to use it.
But for non-relative children (less than 16 maybe) – would not like to be called by 1st name….nor do I like it at banks, restaurants, customer service on telephone when use my 1st name.
As adult, called my mother by 1st name.

PS….hate current usage of ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ for mother and father…not as term of address but as in “how’s your mom?”
or ” my dad blah blah blah”.. that sounds like 6 year old talk.

  4. “Donatella = female, more classy version of Benson.”

We’ll see how long that assessment holds up after the two of you talk politics. Not sure you two see eye to eye.

I think I understand Benson’s frame of reference very well. I might have come to other conclusions about how to affiliate myself politically, but the fit is not perfect. It can’t be. And I also agree with Legion on a lot of things too, though there doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day to do my job and be nuanced enough abought what I believe not to get into mudball fights.

  5. L, since you’ve expressed a desire for a more entrepreneurial gig in the past, maybe you should think about it carefully. Watch the health insurance. And make sure you know your partners really, really well.

I would hate to go back to working for the man.
