of course legion. You would say that. Always needing to blame someone else, and focusing on the negative. The baby boomers have more than paid into the system. No one is getting handouts, or expecting freebies. Adulation? Only in your delusional world.
As for being a nation in decline- I assume you mean the same nation in decline handed to Obama by the Bush administration. Your problem is not baby boomers, it’s thinking you’re entitled to whatever you want, whenever you want it. You feel “owed” and I have news for you- baby boomers worked just as long and hard as you do. And made do with far less. So get off your conservative gen y high horse.
Funny thing, dibs. When I did the announcement show for Emery when it went World-Wide w/ a hub system, we had all the materials flown from CT to TX by FedEx because Emery couldn’t guarantee on-time delivery.
Do you all know the original business model for FedEx?? It was one of the first companies I followed as an analyst.
All of the packages from around the country were flown to memphis and sorted there and all flown back out overnight to their respective destinations. I remember it was a really big thing when they decided they had enough volume to add a 747 jet!!!!
Now I believe it’s more of a hub and spoke network.
yeah snappy, it’s silly. I mean there are different flavors of baby boom, are you older or are you younger? I could list the achievements of so-called baby boomers starting with civil rights, but why bother…
“some examples of the private sector delivering the goods for less than 44cents;”
Cute legion, but I was asking to show an example of the private sector delivering a package or an envelope from point A to point B for $0.44. UPS will charge you a minimum of around $4 from one side of the street to the other, add a buck if it’s a residence.
dibs, the story was that it was a biz school paper and he got a ‘c’ on it.

This argument about the worth or worthlessness of baby boomers is quite ridiculous.

Legion…the manufacturers you list in your 11:02…do they in fact deliver their goods for .44??? How do you know?
John Stossel is stupid. I worked w/ him & he’s really deprived in the grey matter department.
