well, denton, im a LAW ABIDING citizen who PAYS MY TAXES, so these nannies and their wealthy employers really melt my buttons!!! they are essentially drains on society! why cant people raise their own kids!? (granted i had a nanny as a kid for a few years but we didnt pay her)
Yeah rob, try doing them yourself for free. Maybe you’ll learn something. All you need is form 1099EZ that you can get from irs.gov. Didn’t you say you were good in math?
oh crapy i forgot it’s almost time to do taxes… i seem to have lost that link tho where you can get your taxes done for free if you are borderline poverty. does anyone remember the link (im sure i can google it tho)
yeah rob, the thing it it works out better for everyone, at least in the short term. Employer doesn’t have to do massive paperwork and pay taxes. Employee happy cuz no taxes deducted, plus like you say they can maybe collect bennies.
Later on tho employee not eligible for SS. But maybe they don’t worry, they save enuf cash to go back home and buy a nice house on the beach.
I stopped at Brooklyn Fare on the way home last night. Talk about inflated prices. All the salad greens were “organic” or so the label said; so I had to pay about 50-60% more than I would have elsewhere for non-organic, just as nice!!!
The pork chops were on sale though and i got a really nice Ciabatta.

There’s a new career idea for you, btw. Nanny!
That’s right, I forgot about FICA.
All my taxes were e-filed about 2 weeks ago.

Cobble, thanks, and I’m not done either, though my accountant told me today that as long as he has everything by April 1st, he’ll file on time for me.
