  1. Joy of Cooking is a great book to have on hand, so is Fannie Farmer. Both have segments on various ingredients which are very helpful.

I also have the “Settlement Cookbook’ which has some real old school stuff in it. I also like the New York Times Cookbook.

  2. well, denton, im a LAW ABIDING citizen who PAYS MY TAXES, so these nannies and their wealthy employers really melt my buttons!!! they are essentially drains on society! why cant people raise their own kids!? (granted i had a nanny as a kid for a few years but we didnt pay her)

    Sigh. Where to begin?

  3. Speaking of Cookbooks.
Can anyone recommend a basic Cookbook. I want one that has common recipes ie. Chicken Parm, Roast Beef, Lamb Chops, etc….the basics.

I went to Barnes and Noble a few weeks back to look and my head was spinning from al lthe cookbooks.
i was looking at ‘The Joy of Cooking’, and ‘New Cook Book’ and a few others.

    Any recommendations.

  4. Expert, I have it ALL in a pile, and a folder. Just need to sort expenses, and then itemize the freelance, etc. Shouldn’t take me more than a couple hours. Have my appt. set for 3/20. So it may very well be this week/end that I sit and sort.

DIBS, I usually have my acct. e-file, as well. It’s soo easy! And then if I get a refund, it just pops into my checking account! LOVE that!
