We are nearing a quorum!
Trip to Guvna’s could be a neato PLUSA outing (Slopey, I am so amused by my pronunciation being considered weird! I thought everyone must pronounce it thusly)
I’ll bring a smattering of sandies, maybe 4 or 5 peanut butter and honey’s, a half dozen turkey and mustard’s on whole wheat and a few ham and cheeses.
We are zoned for Boy’s and Girl’s High School–no thank you. Anything else she had to apply to.
I am extremely pleased that my daughter will be going to Brooklyn Tech. It’s a great school, definitely improved during the past five or six years, and, like all the top schools in NYC, majority Asian. That’s fine with my daughter, who is Chinese.

lol,
something like that really happened when I was a
kid camping in the Catskills,
I had a crayfish trap set up on the edge of the
Delaware river,
and would check on it every morning.
One morning I see a couple “wrestling” inside
a small tent about 10 feet up the bank,.
so I do what any normal 8 year old would do
and take a look.
🙂
the guy, comes out and gives me a dollar and
tells me to go buy a candy bar, so I went
and bought a Charleston Chew.
then, being an 8 year old kid, I went back
and disturbed them again, to give them their
change back.
The guy just laughed at that point.
I went back to my crayfish.
dave, finding free usable bed-bug free stuff on the street is the ultimate street smarts! people who know me well always tell me id make a really kick ass homeless person.

Street smarts? rob? He can’t find Union Hall from his apartment around the corner. Needs to ask directions here 3x before the event. Ellis — right on 5th Ave? directions. Venues on Smith Street near Carroll? directions. 7th Street near 3rd Ave? Directions. I like rob, but no way, I’m not entrusting my daughter to rob to pick up street smarts. She’ll lose the few she’s got.
ouch slopey. that hurt hahahah. and since when do street smarts involve a GPS chip in one’s brain!?!

DH, you’re always welcome. Do you prefer the Champs call you Uncle Dirty or Uncle Hipster or Uncle DH?

Legion;
Thanks! I never knew that.
All this talk of field trips makes me pine for warm weather.
Raves still exist?
