Thanks Legion. We’ve done that route as well a few times as the Champs LOVE going to the Hall of Science in Queens. Although we should go a couple of extra stops next time to Flushing, which I’ve been to in the pre-Champs days but not with them.
I guess then something new might be any trains that ride into the Bronx such as the 1, 4, 5, 6, B, D or that Eastbound (in Queens or Brooklyn) such as the A, E, F, J, or Z.
Manhattan prices will be dropping again. more maintenance increases being communicated now so we should be seeing more “that’s it with this crazy maintenance” selling.
oh,
you’ll also pass the new Citifield and the USTA Arthur Ashe stadium as well as flushing meadows park.
The best of all is the A train as it leaves Howard Beach and goes over the water towards Broad Channel and the Rockaway’s, but that’s too long a ride and best in the summer.
ew dont take the 7 to the end the sucks. im in agreeance with goatboy about taking the F train to the end of coney island. i put in a comment just before about this but it logged me out, grrrr. also on the F train, the last 5 or 6 stops you can teach the Champs about littering on the train. point to all the people who think it’s okay to throw their soda cans and potato chip bags on the floor and tell them that’s not how civilized people act.
Thanks Kens. We’ve been to the Aquarium a few times, although I think we may have taken the N. The F is definitely an option too as it goes to Jay Street – Borough Hall.
Try the 7 line, it enters queens from under the East River and comes out to the industrial sprawl of Long Island City,
the train then winds around factories and the 59th St. Bridge towards Woodside, It’s all above ground from there and any stop will bring you to cool neighborhoods with good food. Take it till the end for a real treat. The best and largest Chinatown in NYC: Flushing.
Biff, champs interested in the buses? my boy is into the buses too so am planning to ride that with him too

Biff, what Kens said is exactly what I’m planning to do. my boy is in his train/subway craze phase right now.
Take the F all the way to the Aquarium. I would wait for warmer weather though so that you can stroll on the boardwalk as well.
