  1. M4L, that’s definitely another option. If you find an interesting bus route, let me know. We did one once time from around Bay Ridge through Park Slope and all the way back to Brooklyn Heights.

Kens, Gov. Island is amazing and definitely worth a trip. We went last year during an artists’ festival and it was just awesome.

Rob, you’re cracking me up big time!

  2. Here’s a well kept secret for you guys, if you
    take the 7 train,
Long Island City has an awesome private museum
with private garden. It’s housed in an old
    photoengraving plant.
It’s across from the Socrates Sculpture Park
so it’s great to go to in the summer.

  4. quote:
Biff, champs interested in the buses? my boy is into the buses too so am planning to ride that with him too

avoid busses if you can. why would you take a bus for pleasure!?! that’s how like 50 percent of bedbugs in this city get picked up.

  5. Legion, I think the A to Far Rockaway looks like a great option. I’m not too worried about it being a long ride as the Champs, unlike their pop, have long attention spans. In museums, they have to look at every single display and can spend forever there.

On the map though, I’m confused as it looks like the A branches off to Ozone Park and also goes to Far Rockaway, which are in different directions. Does it change on weekends or does it go to Ozone Park and do a strange backtrack to Far Rockaway?

  6. one time taking the F out to coney island i was able to piss in a gatorade bottle, under my bookbag, and no one knew! LOL we got to coney island and i turned to my friend kristy and said look what i did! she was like wtf were you pissing while were talking? i was like yep! it’s a looooooong ride and i have a small bladder.

  7. Speaking of things to do, I really really want to go to Gov. Island this summer. The ferries are free and on weekends there is one that leaves from Brooklyn Heights (I think). I heard it’s really nice out there. You can pretty much go into all of the buildings that are open as there is really no security there. Anyone down for that?
