“don’t ever ask anyone younger than 40 or anyone in a metal cart on the street to put milk or sugar into your coffee. You’ll argue with them over it and it’ll ruin your day.”
This is quite possibly the best advice anyone has ever given me.
Even better than my father’s “When in doubt, wear a jacket. You can always take it off later if you get hot, but you can’t put it on when it gets cold if you don’t have it with you.”
Tempo takes reservations (very, very good, but pricey). Also, the new place that opened on 5th and 3rd St (Alta Voce) takes reservations. I wouldn’t call it high end, however. Run of the mill Italian.
“You need reservations to get into FLATBUSH FARM? ”
No, but without reservations you might have to wait for a table for a length of time that might make you regret having gone there in the first place.
If you have the time to waste or there are 5 nice restaurants right next door that you can go to if the first one is full then it isn’t such a big deal (hint: I have no time to waste and there are not 5 nice restaurants next to flatbush farm).
If you give BRG a cookie, she going to ask for a glass of milk. When you give her the milk, she’ll probably ask for a straw….she’ll probably ask you to tell her a story. So you’ll tell her a story one from….

I was SO looking forward to what followed, and only got the disappointing “ask you to tell her a story”. STORY?

You actually need to call first at the non-descript La Maison d’ Morocco in Bayridge. Go figure.
And a nice mixture of black & white I might add. Very politically correct.
Mrs. Limestone’s Kitchen is in the reno. section (as is the rest of her stunning home).

I’m not sure I should say this but I also happened to spy it (along with her office) in the rate my space section of HGTV.
