“I will also smack the ever-lovin’ shit outta people who move to NYC and feel it’s appropriate to pay/are willing to pay $4k for a studio with no sink in the bathroom :-)”
Now here is a platform all can unite around!! I suggest that you bring in Tybur6 as your campaign manager.
Careful how you answer benson’s Q, snaps, you need the bitter renters and the overleveraged owners to get elected. Another blunt answer must be looking pretty good right now.
Oh, & I should mention that along w/ being red-lined for health insurance, I also couldn’t get a loan for my co-op w/o a guarantor because I was uninsurable. And paying off medical bills doesn’t count towards your credit rating.
Benson, rent is too damn high! I will get rid of rent control/stabilization except for those who currently have it and are elderly and let the market do it’s job. I will also smack the ever-lovin’ shit outta people who move to NYC and feel it’s appropriate to pay/are willing to pay $4k for a studio with no sink in the bathroom 🙂
Thanks, Benson! You wouldn’t guess to look at me that all those thousands have been invested in this body, would you? But I’m alive 40 years after they said I wouldn’t be.
According to New Balance 25% of their shoes sold in N. America are proudly produced in the U.S.

That would basically equate to 25% of revenues spent on marketing. I bet there’s little to no profit margin on these shoes and all the profits are handsomely made from the shoes made in China. It’s a marketing ploy. People are gullible.

I think the mayoral race is down to Snappy versus the “Rent is Too Damn High” guy. Bill Thompson and Bloomie have bowed out.
Snappy, what will YOU do about the rent???

Still real people making them in real factories.
Cargar, I’m only *borrowing* the tent! You can have it back on Wednesday morning right after the victory speech 🙂
PS, Snaps, I was gonna write in The Naked Cowboy, but now you’re my write-in vote
