  1. They might not afford vacations BUT their kids go to school, they have healthcare and roof over their heads and they put food on the table every day.

Roof AND a table. We were wrong, you and DIBS are generous…
(on second thought, at least they have health care, even if it’s just bottles of oil refinery waste in medicine bottles)

  2. Joe, China needs unions. not so sure about unions in USA – particularly how businesses would rationalize using unions vs. not. like it or not / right or wrong, bosses decide where to locate jobs. what would union’s pitch / angle be to convince businesses to not relocate jobs elsewhere?

  3. Dibs, you are right. About everything. Except all those things we disagree on.

    Benson,

Glad we agree on something. Snappy for Mayor! This is shaping up to be a big tent candidacy. (Sorry, CGar) Oh, and Snap, you don’t need 8 million votes, only registered voters, and turnout will be small. You are just a few hundred thousand shy of victory. Keep at it. Things are looking up.

(If you win, do you report to Biff or does he report to you?)

  4. According to New Balance 25% of their shoes sold in N. America are proudly produced in the U.S.

That would basically equate to 25% of revenues spent on marketing. I bet there’s little to no profit margin on these shoes and all the profits are handsomely made from the shoes made in China. It’s a marketing ploy. People are gullible.
