Arkady, that might get me in trouble! I say en suites for all and recessed lighting is perfectly fine! (It’s 1980’s track lighting that makes me cringe)
Hey everyone, I’m late to the party (and after reading today’s fodder grateful I was!).
Arkady, I’ve been unisured for 4 months of my life. I was between jobs and didn’t take COBRA b/c I *thought* I couldn’t afford it.
I shattered my ankle shortly after the window for my ability to elect COBRA (90 days) had closed.
I then had to pay 63K out of pocket in medical bills. In actuality it could have been worse since I was able to negotiate fees with several of the main providers. That money? I had been putting it away since I was a teenager. I was hoping to use it as a down payment on a home one day. I had to start again from scratch.
We as a people can NOT afford to NOT have healthcare.
personally im all in favor of abolishing the child labor laws (obviously they shouldnt work 12 hour days) but i think children are deemed unproductive and/or detrimental to society (i.e. the ones who get lower than a C average overall, caught doing something bad more than 3 times, etc.) should be forced to work.
1.) it bring in money for their families
2.) it would give students who are more interested in learning as opposed to having to sit in a classroom where 90 percent of the time is given to discipline, and
3.) it would ease up to workload for these
supposed blue collar workers who work to the bone at 2 jobs.
is anyone with me? pay them in skittles if you must, but put their useless butts to work.
we are like the ONLY country in the civilized world where people still refer to ADULTS in their mid twenties as “kids” :-/
Joe, jobs are moving out of states with unions to those without. stimulus pkg won’t help that. if anything, it’ll be pkg from states luring business to relocate from a heavy union state
And, after my first surgery, I was declined admission for the 2nd because, “Miss D, you still owe for the first procedure & you’re uninsured & you might die.” My doctor personally guaranteed my debt so he could save my life!

Snappy – What’s your stance on en suites? (I’m betting Bloomie has several.) And recessed lighting?
