rf- I was in Delaware. Newing was the dining hall. I know Delaware was newer than O’Connor and Johnson but not sure how much so. I’m going to email you tho’ if that’s ok? I have it from an earlier post of yours.
benson- what is wrong with you? All of us have an interest in both parties because everything either party does affects all of us. MM is not telling you something quite a few Republicans aren’t already saying (Murkowski today in fact) and yet you’re taking offense because she is a democrat? I don’t for a second believe you buy into the crap that is being thrown out by the likes of Palin and Coulter and Limbaugh. Need an example of Palin’s hypocrisy? Check the record and you will see all of the Republicans backers or sponsors of home visitation programs and even Gingrich’s support of the so-called “death Panels” she is claiming Obama wants to set up. Gingrich wanted them. And so did several other Republican lawmakers.
As for her comment on Fundamentalist Christians- I can only go by my personal experiences with a number of them. They were offensive, hurtful and frightening. You need to ask yourself why would a deeply religious person such as MM say such a thing? Maybe she isn’t in denial.
rf – I was so disappointed when I saw the college in the woods. It sounded so Hansel & Gretel – my brother had an office there – not at all what it sounded like.
Just saw the HoTD discussion about the ‘non-US musician / entertainer moving to BH’. Racking my brains as to who it might be. Apparently it’s a ‘beautiful man’ whose arrival will improve the ‘cool factor’ of the nabe (could be most people on that basis). Hmmm…
I don’t know what their tax status is as individuals, benson, but categorically YES if they are allowed some exempt status in any organization of which they are affiliated.
Bxgrl, my memory of dorm names is fading. Johnson? O’Connor? Ewing? (or was that the dining hall?) I think they are tearing them down now.
While I was there, the school doubled in size and the first suite dorms (college in the woods?) were built. But I lived off-campus by then–2 br/$80/month.
Sure, M4L – hop on!!! Although we have not yet arrived at our destination (playoffs), our GPS providers (Sabathia, Burnett, Chamberlain, Pettite, Jeter, Texeira, Rodriguez, Cano, Damon, Melky, etc.) have us headed straight for the target.

DIBS;
Would that apply to the Rev. Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Al Sharpton?
Just asking.

If everyone lived by the “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” idea, we’d all get along fine.
