  1. Benson, most parties in full control of the gov’t go into destruction mode quickly enough. The Republicans from 2002-2006 were lucky enough to have a war going on. I think the Obama message machine will turn things up after Labor Day, when people come back from vacations, summer, etc.

Kens, after reading all the comments, I re-read her post to see if my instinct to feel bad for her was at all rational, and she starts the post saying, “I am a landlord with a 6 unit building”, so it sure sounds like she bought the building first, and worried about the implications of the rent-stabilized tenants after-the-fact.

  3. I thought she hadn’t bought it yet. Yikes. Too bad if she did. I guess then her best bet would be to collect the rents, wait for the market to stabilize (no pun intended!) and then unload the sucker.

  4. At the risk of being contrarian, I sort of felt sorry for thenamesdiana by the time she posted again at 3:02. Seems like she should’ve worked through the rent stabilization issues BEFORE she bought the 6-unit building!
