G to 4th Ave! Love it. Will try to make it to Draft Barn tomorrow night. Would love to see everybody. odds are 60/40 in favor of my attendance, the 40% being the wild card of Mrs Wasder’s tolerance for such antics.
g10, TIC has to be someone you know & like a lot else you’re asking for trouble. Investment partner – no idea where is good source.
on this bldg you referenced – really, such oppties exists at this time? just find it hard to believe real estate is a good cash flow investment in NYC right now – especially in the primo BK hoods
I’m back from Fredericksburg, VA, where I stayed on Jefferson Davis Hwy in a hotel room that included a portrait of Robert E. Lee. UGH! To be fair, there was also a drawing of a Civil War battle from the Union perspective. Lots of Civil War history in this city. I had a good time visiting my sister, but remain convinced I will NEVER live in the south.
M4L – either I suppose. TIC if each person planned to live in the building and make it their home.
We saw an open house for a 4 family bldg in primo park slope for relatively “cheap” price – but it has 2 rent control tenants and the other 2 apts are vacant. the entire bldg needs a gut renvo – so you would have to have cash to do all that work, but you would make TONS on the backend – in rent if you so decide as the bldg is huge or after fixing it up and selling it…
Columbia Street Waterfront area seems to have a bunch of places worth checking out, including the fried calzones. I’ve been meaning to go there for a long time now.

g10, you mean as a tenant in common or are you talking about joint purchase on an investment bldg?
Strombolis and calzones are def NOT the same!
So – how does one find investors to go in on a building together?
