  1. ENY, I share your definition of “south”. as much as I like Richmond and Chapel Hill (visiting the in-laws), there’s still a little too much “south” to my liking and comfort

  2. I like the south in general (not for one minute defending the Confederacy, though!), in large part because I’m a a college football fan and there’s nothing quite like going down there for a game.
    Official border between north and south was the PA / MD state line (which is the Mason Dixon line in part).

  3. g10, if you’re not staring at 15% or more cashflow positive on that bldg, don’t even think about it. rents stand a good chance of continuing to drop or at best be flat for a while during which time cost (ppty tax, water, heating,….) are going up. and let’s not forget the job mkt still stinks

  4. I’d say anything in Maryland or south of that is “south” to me. Maryland is clearly somewhat sophisticated, but there’s a lot of “south” left down there.

    “The south has some really hot, dumb females.”

    You can find these just about anywhere, including Brooklyn.
