I used to work at Starbucks back in high school and it’s insane how the workers in Manhattan locations cut corners. I won’t get into the nitty gritty but starbucks stuff isn’t that bad if the workers actually perpare things properly.
It was actually a good company to work for, and they treated their employees very well. it seems “specialty coffee” drinks were just a passing fad, and now they are feeling it.
That said – the Starbucks on Spring and Crosby is probably the worst in the country.
Hey Rob – I just walked up to the Duane Reade on Broadway and Houston and I saw no less than 4 construction sites were union guys were just chillin doing nothing.

I agree with you on the laptops issue, rob. Those people sit there for hours taking up seats. Why do they always look like eHarmony rejects?????

dh…it’s 10:00…break time for union employees throughout the country. That goes back to the days unions were necessary because of the sweat shops.

Actually, there have been a lot of articles about how high quality coffee shops have thrived by opening next to Starbucks.
