  1. goldie…I’ve been past there and it has been open/closed/open at various times. I don’t know for sure that they have an actual Clover Coffee Maker though. Can anyone verify that???

  2. Rob, I’ve been seeing the same shows…it seems that in places like Florida especially, tile floors are king. I actually saw one Florida House Hunters episode where the buyers were crying about having wood floors instead of carpet. I was stunned. I don’t know a single person who would rather have carpet instead of wood floors. I have carpet and I HATE IT!!!

  3. goldie i think they had a health code violation. that health code violation is called wallet rape. but seriously, i think they were open for the street fair or something but plan to reopen at a later date. (someone mentioned that yesterday) im gonna give the coffee a try if they have iced versions of it.

  4. okay ive been saying how ive been watching a ton of hgtv cuz nothing else is good on. anyway, i am sooooooo sick of how houses look all tiled up. i guess hardwood floors are out of fashion now or something, but the tiling looks attrocious and will be so dated SO fast. and i hate how it’s laid down!! like criss cross shaped and big ugly tiles like a foot by a foot (i have my theory about why they are a foot) and thick ugly tinted grout. and the color of the tiles are always terrible, all peachy and tan, etc. barf. a tiled bedroom is just hideous, how can it feel like a bedroom? it winds up looking like a hideous medeterranean hospital.

sorry if i offended anyone with hideous big tiles.

  5. strolling the lovely malls in virginia and north carolina, retailers are hurting bad – real bad. I kidded with some of the retailers about those “green shoots” and one response was worth repeating: “Yeah right. All we see is dead grass, dried dirt, and baking desert sand. Green shoots is a government sponsored propaganda that has yielded no improvement in our retail sales.”

  6. a few days ago we were lauding the great coffee at Clover Cafe and Art Gallery, and today while driving by they look like theyve shut down. bummer. maybe the cost of the clover machine plus high price of coffee did em in…or the location.
