Despite numerous protests against a pawn shop moving to the corner of Franklin and Park – and despite the pawn shop sign being taken down – it’s still set to open. I Love Franklin Avenue points out the kicker: the shop’s named Crow Hill Jewelry, after the very group that protested it. Ouch! Also, we have no idea what to think of the mural that’s gone up to promote the place. That is one lucky baby.

  1. Mural is quite quirky, but I wouldn’t want it (or the pawn shop itself) in my neighborhood. So understand where MM is coming from.

Don’t think this look will encourage business though. Looks like the kind of place I’d worry about ever getting ut of alive, given no windows etc.

  2. lol… don’t ya know when you hire a local artist to paint your wall it keeps anyone else from disrespecting it by tagging it? I have to say this is funny as hell… and yes if they did it in my nabe i’d laugh too.
