Which Way Are Readers Leaning in the Presidential Race?
Speaking of politics…While New Yorkers won’t weigh in on the presidential race officially for about another month, we thought the occasion of today’s New Hampshire primary would be a good opportunity to see which way Brooklynites (or a certain blog-reading subsection, at least) were leaning. In the meantime, any predictions for how the real primary will go today?

If you vote Republican you are either greedy or ignorant. That is the truth. Now I know most people on this Board are not ignorant. I’m not saying greed is a bad thing-just stating the facts.
Can all of you Obama supporters actually tell me what he has accomplished and what his credentials are? Being charismatic and great speaker (Although true, don’t count as accomplishments) I am not sure what it is. What is his record? I much prefer a government executive branch candidate as president than lawmakers anyway since they generally have experience in running governments. Things like handling budget, legislatures, emergencies, are all experiences that come with these type of candidates that lawmakers never have, especially a first term senator.

I know this is an anonymous blog but you do not score any points calling people ugly names.
You must be frustrated (I hope not drunk so early in the day) to lash out that way at people who do not agree with you.
A vice presidential candidate can make or break a ticket in many cases. Biden’s appeal is in the negative column, he actually has negative a appeal if that is possible. He may be experienced at beltway meetings but he comes across as a scould.
It wont make a difference. Everyone is ‘controlled’. Including Ron Paul, Yes Ron Paul!!!! JFK was the last great president. Shit will be the same. You are sheep and they like to shear your asses. Why does anyone waste their time and vote??!!! The American people do not elect leaders, they are owned by the Machine. Dumbasses.
The What
Someday this war is gonna end…….
Folks, you all live in NYC presumably. How has democratic politics benefited this city? If it was not for NYC being the center of the international unsury, it would be an umitigated disaster.
What have democrats done? Failing schools. Housing projects. The complete destruction of the middle class. The decimation of the black community. Unbelievably high taxes. A thoroughly corrupt society. Oppressive zoning laws that favor the rich. The list goes on and on.
Democrats have done nothing since they took congress last year. All the presidential candidates are rehashing the same failed programs from the 1960s and 1970s.
That is no change.
We face serious, potentially crippling problems in the future. The majority of the population receives public assistance in some fashion. The war has cost a trillion dollars. The aggregate debt load from personal and governmental debt is crushing. Our currency is rapidly collapsing. The influx of unskilled, uneducated foreigners is crippling the public support system of many, many states.
We cannot afford more tax and spend politics. We cannot afford endless fractional reserve lending that makes bankers rich at the expense of those who have savings or who need to borrow money for major purchases.
Ron Paul is the only candidate that promises to change our corrupt monetary policy. That alone should make people vote for him. When you combine it with his relentless and uncompromising stance towards foreign intervention, what more can you ask for?
Also, 11:18 – democrats got us into every war of the 20th century, including the Gulf War (democratic congress). The current war, while a disaster, is nothing compared to the likes of Vietnam. As well, our military expenditures in Iraq still are nothing compared to maintaining 130 military bases in dozens of countries worldwide, the creation of which was due to democrats.
McCain.
You kind of proved my point, 11:18!
Nixon was hardly known for charisma. LBJ had a twang but that’s not charisma.
I had a good laugh about the fact it listed Republican as an afterthought. Screw the Republicans. Yeah, that’s right. That’s what I said. Anyway, I voted for Kucinich here, but in reality, I’ll chicken out and vote for Obama. He’s not a bad second choice!
Me wants white bread. Black friends of mine are already celebrating, not too fast.
