Which Way Are Readers Leaning in the Presidential Race?
Speaking of politics…While New Yorkers won’t weigh in on the presidential race officially for about another month, we thought the occasion of today’s New Hampshire primary would be a good opportunity to see which way Brooklynites (or a certain blog-reading subsection, at least) were leaning. 4 examples do NOT refute my point, 12:13.
You’re the type of personality who can never be wrong and you fight until the end. For what? Is someone going to show up on your doorstep and give you a medal?
“You kind of proved my point, 11:18! Nixon was hardly known for charisma. LBJ had a twang but that’s not charisma.”
No, actually I didn’t make your point, I refuted it. Although I think he was a terrible president, Nixon managed to perfect the art of there political comeback, SEVERAL times after being left for dead (figuratively speaking), not easy for someone without charisma. Your comment about LBJ just reveals your ignorance on this issue. He was known to be quite charismatic. And you (wisely )don’t even attempt to argue against the documented charismatic personalities of Roosevelt or Truman.
once again the democrats have failed to find a candidate that could actually get elected in a general election. the republicans are going to run away with this election.
if you honestly think that either obama or clinton can win a general election, then really, you need to get out of PS more.
clinton for sure has a better shot at it tho.
btw – republicans are greedy or ignorant? wtf. with crazies like that, just shows why the democrats lose.
11:42- that may be, but I for one am sick of the mess “professional” politicians have made of this country. We need fresh ideas, fresh eyes and a fresh perspective. I happen to like Edwards and Obama- because if experience is the best attribute for a president I think the present administration gives us great reason to question the wisdom of that theory.Clinton has experience, brains and guts. I just fear she doesn’t have heart. She comes off too cold and scripted. I’m sick of politicians who let spinmeisters dictate their every move and word.
Obama!
