As Montrose said. I still daydream about your floorplan, more4.
M4L, yours is nicer because it’s a fully self-contained apartment with all of the orginal rooms being used as planned. This is the bedroom floor of a brownstone, made to work as a one bedroom apt. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, and this is still a beautiful space, but yours SHOULD go for more than this. (assuming this ends up between $1200 and $1350.)
Heather, my place is a lot bigger but I wouldn’t say it’s a lot nicer. nicer but not “a lot” nicer.
MM, if this rents out at 1600, use that against bxgrl and the other tenant when they have any complaints – ie “take a look at THIS and back the heck off cause you got it good. REAL GOOD”
More4’s apartment is a lot nicer than this one. Although this one isn’t bad.
$1200, maybe 13 if everything is super duper. Great block, very convient to subway and supermarket/banking. Strong block association on this block. But $1600? I don’t think so.
m4l — No, I don’t think I could. I’ve been on the receiving end of racial slurs and unwarranted aggression in that very neighborhood… just walking down the street and going into a couple stores. But for $600, I’d make a go of it.
there’s only the occasional brutal murder
i lived in a huuuuuge 3br on dean a block away (east) for 2000
