Rental of the Day: 388 Park Place
In August we had a single-room, shared bathroom Rental of the Day at 77 St. Marks Ave. Here’s another, not far away! This is a studio (kind of) at 388 Park Place in Prospect Heights. Considering the apartment on St. Marks Ave. is still up for rent and was reduced to $750 a month, they may have a tough time with the monthly rent of $900.

Yes plenty of people live like this
what do you expect if you have a job that pays like $8 an hour and you live on your own without parental help.
But agreed this needs to be like $500 a month not $700

or was this an audience expansion campaign – ie to draw in some new eyeballs who are indeed looking for such setups
Seriously… do people really live in places like this? (I would understand if it was $500 — well, I’d *almost* understand.)
At that rate, I could divide up my 550/foot floor thru apartment into four “kitchenettes” and sublet the whole thing (shared bathroom and all) for $3600 dollars. Oh, wait — better location, so maybe $4200. There you go.
Same concept, m4l: horribly overpriced rentals.
SRO set-up for $900 = shoddy conversion “loft” for $6,250
shared BR? feel like I’m back in college.
Oh, my. Yeah, uh, too high. Someone will rent this, but not at this price . .. . my lord.
wow!!! what a big swing. we went from 5k rentals in clinton hill to 6.5k one in BK heights to now SRO setups?
