This top-floor rental at 158 President in Carroll Gardens isn’t really floating our boat. It’s a one-bedroom, one-bathroom, plus an awkward looking loft that appears to cut up the main living space. It seems like a bit of a stretch to be calling this place a duplex, as the broker does in the listing verbiage….

It seems like a bit of a stretch to be calling this place a duplex, as the broker does in the listing verbiage. Given all that, the price of $2,450 a month doesn’t seem like a bargain to us. Thoughts?

Brenda, they remind me of a bar in Pattaya where there was a gigantic tank of water with views into it like that and go-go boys swimming around for your selection.
They could only get that much rent if it was in Red Hook.

It seems like they picked a pricing including amenities that this one doesn’t have (laundry, dishwasher).
It looks like it’s wired for electrical heat, and that remuddling has removed any insulation. I’d like to see the electrical bill.
