Rental of the Day: 62 Montague Street
This two-bedroom in Brooklyn Heights is a rent-by-owner coming from the Brownstoner Marketplace with a price tag of $2,950 a month. 62 Montague Street [For Rent By Owner] GMAP P*Shark
have feeling this owner doesnt intend to rent this out for the long term so the renter should be aware that he/she will need to move at the end of the lease. Plus, there’s always the coop-imposed xxx yrs the unit can be rented out.
nice looking place. wish there was flr plan to gauge how many sq ft
A nice turret from which to observe the riff-raff down below; I wonder if there is a time-limit on sublets. Apart from that bit, it’s really a lovely rental.
It…has…a…TOWER ROOM!
The $300 fes keeps the riff raff away.
randolph,
Nope, they don’t pay extra. We just pick out whatever catches our eye, be it from the marketplace or otherwise.
Minard: Ha! (It is a good bakery, though.)
I pass by this building all the time; it’s nice to get a peek inside. Wish there had been a pic of the roof deck and a floor plan, however.
The rent is in line with 2BR in Brooklyn Heights. Considering the amenities (nice appliances, W/D, fireplace, roof deck, central AC) it’s even a little on the low side. But I think that’s a reflection of the board approval hoop-jumping.
Has anyone ever bee through that in a rental situation? What’s it like? I usually see them for places where a rental that’s slightly out of my league has been pushed into my price range because of this situation. I’ve always just been a boring old regular renter, though.
haaaa Minard – that cracked me up – so true though
yeah agreed the most one should charge for an application fee is $50 – it costs you $25 to run a credit report at most and then um ok keep $25 for your “admin fee”
but $300 is ridiculous
yet another double dip from the marketplace- do people pay extra for that or something?
Yeah, those application fees, what does happen to those? I guess part goes to a credit check, but the rest? Is it given back?
Anyway, looks beautiful. But I wish once again for a floor plan.
