This two-bedroom in Brooklyn Heights is a rent-by-owner coming from the Brownstoner Marketplace with a price tag of $2,950 a month. It has all the pre-war charms you’d expect, and the building’s architecture and location are definitely a major selling point. It is also is a co-op, so board approval (and the $300 application fee) are required, but overall this is not a high asking price for a rental in Brooklyn Heights these days so we won’t be surprised to see it get snapped up.

  1. Mopar, the tot just started school, we can’t change neighborhoods 😛 I will, however, meet you in Brooklyn Heights pretending I live there and walk to the Promenade anytime. We can hit Housing Works and Starbucks on the way!

  2. Montrose, you’re moving markets now.

I’m thrilled to get a close look at this place. I’ve gone over the photos with a fine-tooth comb and determined there is no dining room. It’s four rooms total: Kitchen, LR/DR combined, and two bedrooms. I love the bathroom and the kitchen. They look like ours — only nice.

  3. subletting a coop is a paperwork process. The board will want to meet you too. If you are at all notorious or hiding your income or not who you say you are, skip it. Otherwise its just copies of taxes, a credit check, a letter or two from friends and a list of your assets. no biggie.
