We quite like this two-and-a-half bedroom rental at 428 3rd Street in Park Slope. The details and the layout are quite agreeable, and the kitchen looks pretty nice to us too (though Mr. B won’t like those new cabinets, we suspect). The price was reduced from $3,400 to $3,250 just a few days ago, a point that may not be too far off the mark.

  1. “If you notice ALL of the world ranking are related to the worth of the DOLLAR. Not the cost-of-living in local currency. That is meaningless. I believe the capital of Chad is in the top 3? Because of a crazy exchange rate.”

Haha, that’s awesome. And number 13 is in Gabon! 11217, what’s your PhD in?

  2. Umm… 11217… Where did I suggest NYC was the 8th most expensive city in the world?

Did I perhaps say, instead, “I don’t think it’s fair to compare NYC to foreign cities…. it’s apples and oranges.” (@4:40pm)

  3. DH, accupuncture is good for allergies – serious. 1 treatmt a season should yield massive difference. and if you add rinsing out nose with saline water, you’ll be fine – unless you’re the ultra sensitive ones

  4. There aren’t too many breeds of dog that dislike parks, and I know a bit about dogs. Certainly some like parks more than others, but most dogs enjoy nature, i.e. parks. Beyond the obvious reasons (it’s where they use the bathroom), there is a social component, as dogs tend to “survey” a park to sniff out other dogs.

Walking your dog in a local park regularly is akin to providing him/her with a “doggie newspaper.” Dogs benefit significantly from regular walks in a park. Is it vital to their life? No. Does it improve their quality of life? No question.
