Rental of the Day: 71 1st Place
We like the looks of this two-bedroom, floor-through rental at 71 1st Place. There are just enough details to give the place personality but it’s nothing too fancy. The house is 25 feet wide, so there’s plenty of space, and use of the garden is allowed. Top that off with a free, communal laundry room…

The rent to live in this neck of Carroll Gardens, between Court and Clinton? $3,400 a month. What do you think?

You guys did more due diligence than I did. Overpriced by $500 if it were a true two bedroom. A one-bedroom? Grand Army is right – overpriced by at least $1,000 and probably more like $1,200.
Ivana calls this a 2-bedroom too

the broker actually says it’s a “2+ bedroom home” – hahaha
landlord – then really we should be talking about whether $3400 is a good price for a one bedroom in that neighborhood and the answer is probably, no, that’s too much.
Also, those realtors could should get in trouble for this. It’s not right to advertise something to people that’s illegal.
Ridiculous lay-out. Impossible for shares unless you use the LR in rear as a bedroom. As is, this would only work for a couple with a young child. The price seems too high by a good $1,000.
That’s not a 2 bedroom. It wouldn’t be easy to set it up as a share, either. Nor would it work for a family. I don’t get their pricing.
living room = bedroom
dining room = living room
anything goes with rentals.
DH, dont mock bubble baths.
