As soon as I’m directed to the Marketplace listing, is just as quickly I click on the “See Listing on Broker’s Site”.
I’ve been so annoyed by it for a while cause there aren’t floor plans in the Marketplace.
My favorite is when there’s a thread about sales in a new development but NO link for the building site so people can check out apts.
Ok for an undone house in Red Hook to go for 1.2mil – it must be 2007!!!!
Sorry, that house will not sell for anything over 900K and even that’s pushing it. The house needs work – it’s cute on the outside but to command over a million for the innards is just ridiculous!
That is one sad seating group in the Pacific St house living room.
“Ok, it is finally starting to bug me that every listing here is a market place listing.”
“I’ve noticed this, too, and I agree with Nomi.”

I concur. I’ve been noticing this trend too.
Brownstoner you have absolutely every right to do whatever you want; but for the sake of transparency please tell us readers whether you tell or imply to Marketplace advertisers that their listings will get any type of ‘special attention’ when you pick open house or hotd selections?
It feel disingenuous now to mix in the occasional non-marketplace listing, is what I am saying.
Yeah, I just wish it was all straight forward now. There’s nothing so wrong with it. I mean, yeah, it’s not exactly the same spirit of intention on Brownstoner’s part. Obviously. But we can still say what we want, and there must be some value to that even though a lot of what people say is criticism. I say there must be some value, because Jonathan wouldn’t be doing it otherwise.
Nomi, it’s the same deal with COTD and HOTD. No Biggie. No surprise
