“…and make her throw in two 5 gallon buckets of primer. ”
QOTD
The Dutch government should sue!
“These listings are just adding to my feelings of despair and hopelessness.”
I agree! At first I got excited; finally something in my price point. But then you really look at the listings and say WTF!
Except for Jefferson Ave., these prices are ridiculous.
The Clifton Place house has nice details, but you’d be paying a lot to live in a one-floor apartment. Don’t most house owners hope for a duplex or triplex?
lesloaf – these are just comedy prices, they should make you chortle, not feel gloomy.
I’d wait on the Carroll street house, and I live on the block….1,195,000 was non negotiable a few months back too.
…and make her throw in two 5 gallon buckets of primer.
Thanks CrownHeightsLady.
For 1M, needs to be a 2-family.
Okay, just studied the listings again. I am now no longer interested in any of them.
– Dean St is a total price joke and house is not my style.
– Carroll Street – for that price, needs to be a 2-family and with more drop dead gorgeous details.
– Clifton St – I wish had one more floor.
– Jefferson – Just not loving it.
Oh, and the above apply to my personal tastes/circumstances and do not reflect what I don’t know about the market.
That Dean Street property is in Prospect Heights, not Crown Heights. And CHL and moretesair are right – the price on the house is ludicrous. I must say the broker’s description is a work of art. They manage to make this place, an 80s-era project that sat abandoned and vacant for years, sound like something special. That kind of copy makes a PR guy proud!
I love the description of the Dean Street house as a “Dutch Colonial”.
