you are right, we should always attempt to stick to our moral and ethical standards, but with a close eye towards protecting our security.
in the 1993 trial, the lawyer, an American, was convicted of aiding and abetting our enemies abroad by forwarding information to his associates. those individuals had a right as legal residents.
this time around, these men were captured abroad, not US residents or citizens or what not. They are being brought to the US court system and extended rights of US citizens. What kind of example does it set to the rest of the world that we are bending over backwards to accomodate confessed enemies of our nation?

stevieb, I don’t agree with your politics but no need to defend me getting priced out – I am not worried about that, since I am confident prices about overall direction of the market. It’s possible bonuses will create a blip but maybe not. I don’t think the fundamentals support a real turnaround anytime soon. Just saw this too:
