House of the Day: 226 11th Street
Here’s the first new house listing to hit the market this year: It’s a two-family clapboard at 226 11th Street in the South Slope. While not as grand as some of the houses to the north, the four-story property has plenty of detail and charm. The only hairy thing about it is that the first…

Here’s the first new house listing to hit the market this year: It’s a two-family clapboard at 226 11th Street in the South Slope. While not as grand as some of the houses to the north, the four-story property has plenty of detail and charm. The only hairy thing about it is that the first two floors are currently being used as a yoga studio and acupuncture office. The asking price is $1,279,000. Reactions?

11217,
I, too, got great benefit from acupuncture.
And I’ve fooled around with yoga a bit.
And I still think they’re almost the same thing.
Almost.
yeah 11217 i know there’s lots of tarot card readersin park slope, and all over nyc. but most of them are total charlatan fakes!! do you know one tricked me into forking over 200 bux once for HEALING BATH CRYSTALS! i used them for a week, nothing f’ing healed!

WTF? Yoga and acupuncture are ancient practices! Can you enlighten us on acceptable forms of exercise and healing practices?
so is bloodletting and eating your own children! what is your point? just cuz something is ancient doesnt make it legit, in fake it usually makes it LESS legit.
and to answer your second question… ONE WHERE YOUR MOVING AND EXERTING ACTUAL ENERGY!!!! NO PHONEY BALONEY CHI ENERGY or whatever it’s called.

If you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain….
I’m just kidding. I don’t care what Rob does. Hell, I smoke too.
But I also think yoga and acupuncture are very worthy exercise and healing practices. I’ve never personally gotten very into yoga, but I’ve found acupuncture to be amazing.
I knew the love wouldn’t last long!!!!
“Can you enlighten us on acceptable forms of exercise and healing practices? ”
Drinking 40’s, chain smoking menthols and masturbating till your hand falls off in a beanbag chair.
Am I close, Rob?
If the map is accurate, it’s too far from 4th Avenue to be within a commercial district. Therefore the commercial tenancy is probably illegal, unless it’s grandfathered in from before the area was rezoned.
At least it’s close to Pathmark.
Rob,
I know you might find this hard to believe because it goes against all that you believe to be true about Park Slope, but there are already quite a number of tarot reading places in Park Slope. One or two I can think of off-hand on 7th Avenue.
