The owners of 615 2nd Street gave selling their Park Slope limestone a go last year but packed it in after six months when the $3,495,000 asking price proved to much for the market to bear. Now the house is back on the market with a new price tag of $2,950,000. It’s a great house to be sure but, as we noted last time around, the kitchen finishes seem a little out of place. What do you think the market-clearing price is on this baby?

  1. JIPS, That’s it!
I had another ex who gave me an ivory bracelet. Is that worth more? Except, it was lost in a move, so I guess it’s worthless.

This just proves that if realtors do their job and provided more photos in the listings, we’d be discussing the house as opposed to selling our possessions to buy photoless houses.

  2. They should be fine at that price, assuming no issues with the building, etc.

Lived on this block in the ’90s. It is very much one of the best PS blocks with limestone townhomes, park block, extremely residential, etc. Drawback definitely was the long walk to Grand Army, esp in winter. Also, the long avenue blocks to 7th for services.

  3. If I owned this house, I would certainly never go to Times Square because I would be a “creative professional.” They don’t have to go to Times Square… unless they’re being ironic.

next Saturday at the Sheraton is the auction for all of bernie & ruth madoff’s personal possession including 17 Rolex watches, numerous prada bags and interestingly three ahtrays from three different hotels/restaurants that they apparently lifted…The Hotel Plaza Athenae, The Eden Roc in the south of France and Cipriani in venice.

I have only stole one ashtray…from La Maison in Phnom Phen.
