We’re certainly digging the location, size and type of the house. There’s also tons of original detail that is right up our alley. The renovation, though, feels too over-the-top to us. Call us old-fashioned, but the glitziness and polish of the whole thing feels a little out of place for Fort Greene. And that yard? What were they thinking? We suspect the sellers would have been better served by a more understated approach, especially when it comes to reselling in these non-boom times.

Practically perfect in every way! It looks a bit museum-like because it is empty, nothing that can’t be humanized with some furniture and greenery. How wonderful to wake up to views of the park.
It also needs a deck on the parlour level.
I think I’d like to meet the broker. It’ll be fun getting him out of that Jermyn Street suit, shirt & tie combination.

You forgot the answer which was I WAS _BORN_ IN BROOKLYN!
Interesting setup….The tub in the middle of bathroom is way over the top and out of place. I do however love the woodwork and parlor floor kitchen. The oversized bedrooms are a bonus in my book.
> Kind of reminds me of the Ralph Lauren section of a department store.
Bingo. This place is hideous.
Hooray a powder room on the parlor floor. Backyard is wierd, should have left a blank slate. The fireplace and crown moldings can be easily fixed. Kitchen and dining are lovely.
I’m pretty thick skinned, I can take what they throw at me.
You should have seen what they were saying about the place before I bought it when it was HOTD very early in 2007. I never saw that thread until after I bought the house. LOL
