Co-op of the Day: 115 Eastern Parkway, #3D
This one-bedroom co-op at 115 Eastern Parkway in Prospect Heights has been the lucky recipient of a rather spiffy makeover recently. The asking price of $450,000 might be higher than usual for this building, but clearly this renovation deserves some kind of premium. You can check out the modern stylings at Sunday’s open house. These prewar buildings used to have apartments with many large rooms. So they have chopped them up considerably to make these small apartments. It seems like a travesty to me.
About a single person or a couple and the closet space: crediting jokesters on a thread yesterday, if one of the couple is a cross-dresser, then a one small closet may be sufficient.
Like our new IT guy, it’s cute but tiny.
” How much is a one bedroom apt in that glass thingy by Richie Meyer up the street going for?”
Dibs aka Brownstoner Orifice is not in so I’ll take this question.

What’s a “Duravit Starck” toilet?
…
Philippe Starck – designs a lot of high end hotels and luxury residential (along with a gazillion household things for Target). Had a few high profile projects in Manhattan: Downtown by Starck (15 Broad conversion), Gramercy by Starck (23rd St), Dwell (95 Wall rental conversion), etc. I always thought he was fairly well known since he is ubiquitous. Guess not – you don’t even know his bidet!
