This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in East Flatbush, Park Slope and Boerum Hill. How did they fare?

“Here’s a bargain,” the ads proclaimed for this house back in 1899 while touting its modern features like gas fixtures, wood trim, a built-in buffet and a furnace. The single-family row house at 23 Fairview Place in East Flatbush has lost some of those original details but is in move-in condition and has other features that might be compelling to a contemporary buyer, like central air and well-appointed flexible art studio space in the above-grade English basement. This former House of the Day sold in April for $1.45 million, which was $35,000 under the asking price.

In Park Slope, this Classic Six has luxurious prewar features, a plethora of built-ins and an elegantly updated kitchen. It’s located on the fourth floor of one of Brooklyn’s most notable apartment buildings, known as the Flatiron of Brooklyn and designed by celebrated architect Rosario Candela. The three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom unit shares a landing with only one other apartment and has a flexible layout that includes a one-time maid’s room. This former Co-op of the Day sold in April for $2.1 million, which was $401,000 over the asking price.

In addition to a location an easy stroll from Prospect Park, this early 20th century townhouse offers up a wealth of original details including mantels, plasterwork, wainscoting and even a bathroom outfitted in original tile. The Park Slope single-family hasn’t changed hands since the 1980s and while a new owner might want to make some updates, the numerous original details appear to be in fine repair. This former House of the Day sold in March for $3.6 million, which was $400,000 over the asking price.

While it’s lost a few original details, enough remain to lend this circa 1860s-1870s Boerum Hill row house a simple yet elegant feel. The two-family, four-story Italianate brick house on historic State Street has a mansard roof, brownstone trim and 19th century ironwork. The interior is arranged as a one-family, with kitchen on the garden floor and two parlors above, and bedrooms on the two upper floors. This former Open House Pick sold in March for $3.1 million, which was $395,000 under the asking price.
