  1. kingston has lots of vacant or vacant looking store fronts but if an anchor type biz opens, that can change fast. but do like the success odds on nostrand more as the foot traffic is a lot more

  2. M4L- that seems to be changing. New restaurants are opening and I noticed a new womens accessories store. One thing property owners understand- money. Kingston I think is going to take longer, even though there was a lot of interest. With Nostrand seeming to wake up from a long sleep (Much thanks to NostrandPark), I think Kingston will slow down again. I would love to see both Aves full of new shops and eateries- that would be the best thing for Crown Heights.

  3. Rob,

told ya to stroll thru Bed Stuy and Crown Heights last time. if you did, you would now be in position to say that you BEEN there and that it indeed sucks, dangerous, etc. Instead, your gun clip has no ammo.

  4. While – as far as I know – there is no such word as “plather,” I think it should become one. I like to imagine it as a portmanteau of “pathetic” and “blather.”

    Used in a sentence:

The butterfly was so caught up in self-absorbed plather, that it flew into the windshield of Muffy Moonface’s Prius.

  5. Yes, I know that Foodtown delivers. I’ve done it a few times and yes, they are great about it. They will call you during the day if they have to substitute anything and they come on time and give you 1 hour window options. It’s a very good service.

  6. From the OT….

  7. “I’m liking the Nostrand Ave. Key Food better these days since they fixed it up but their basement must be a sewer because sometimes there is a horrid odor coming up- yet the store itself is very clean.”

good to hear they finally fixed the place up. in my crown heights days that was my go to supermarket and it was pretty dismal.
